Happy Monday! Win a Wii and Wii Fit Plus

A winner has been picked -- see below!

I hate Mondays. Who's with me? Well, here's something that might help you pull the day out of the toilet -- the chance to win an awesome prize! Remember I told you about my fabulous Wii Fit™ Plus yoga party hosted by Nintendo? And remember I told you I’d be giving away a Wii™ system and a copy of the Wii Fit Plus video game? Well, seeing as I only lie about things like my weight, and my age and how many cups of coffee I’ve really had, here’s the giveaway.

Nintendo has given me a Wii system and a copy of Wii Fit Plus and I’m going to give them away to a lucky reader who wants start enjoying the benefits of working out right in their living room. That’s right - work on your abs without having to drive cross-town to the gym, or fit in a calming yoga session without having to fight for a parking space at the local yoga studio. That means more time to hang with your family, or play with your cat, or –– pick lint out of your navel – I don’t judge.

Just leave me a comment where you answer the question, “How would YOU fit some fit in with Wii Fit Plus from Nintendo?” Just do it before 11:59pm PST on May 16 2010. To keep things fair and totally random, I’ll use random.org to pick one lucky winner. Winner will be notified by email within one week and the prize will be sent out within two weeks.

A few rules!

1) I only ask that you give me a real answer – no smartass lines like, “When my wife’s not looking,” or I’ll be forced to disqualify you and your cat.
2) One entry per person.
3) No anonymous comments.
4) Entries from U.S. residents only.
5) Employees of Nintendo and my family members are ineligible to enter (sorry mom.)
6) Entrants must be 18 years or older.

So hopefully your Monday just got a little better. Carpe Diem! Seize the day! And the Wii if you're lucky.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

And the winner is:

Megryansmom of Look It's Megryansmom. Congratulations! (Is she really THE Meg Ryan's mom? I have no idea, but she is the proud owner of a brand new Wii and Wii Fit Plus!

Thanks to everyone who entered!

Well, that totally would have been me with the smart-ass comment, so thanks for the warning.

I'd try to fit it in before taking the kids to school. Because the later it gets the less and less likely it is that I'm going to get off of my ass.

I could so use this! My gym is all the way across town (about 7 miles), so it gives me a terribly convenient excuse to not make it over there. I would love to have no excuse (I'm also dying to try the hula hoop).

I'd do it with my kids. I've played it before and I know the games are fun and kid friendly. Pretty sure we could do it together as a family!

wii'd love this! My girls and I have been wanted one and it might keep them from killing each other. Might. I think we could fit it in after work and before dinner. Maybe who ever sweats the most doesn't have to cook? There is only a one time energy expenditure with fratricide, I am sure the Wii Fit would be a big improvement in our exercise routine.

I would fit some yoga in when the kids are at school -- since it's at home, and I don't have to jump in the car, I won't have any excuses!

thanks for the great giveaway,

Since hubs is glued to the TV all the time when he's home/awake anyway, he might as well (finally!!) get some good out of it! We'd use if for sure mostly in the evenings then veg out on the usual shows, probably... ("we"=me, him, and son)

So... me me me, k? Thx! ;-)

dang i was going to work the word "fratricide" into MY comment... (thanx SoCalLibrarian!) oh well...

i feel i deserve this FREE wii fit because i'm old and pale and if i don't do something soon to improve this personally demoralizing situation i may in fact pass the threshold of NO RETURN... and for me, though thats not a big shift in my already bleak reality, it would be the "final" lost flip flop on the sunny beach of life.

give a guy a break just this once... i know i will make you proud! (...and if you don't i'll kill my brother??)

I would win it for my mom. Not because I'm selfless by any means - but really any thing that enhances the amount of time my daughters spend at my mother's apartment is a lovely thing. And if it gets my mom moving and actually working out, even better!! (really, why isn't nintendo tapping into the over 60 set?)

I'd set it up upstairs so I'd have no other distractions to woo me away from the wii on my way to down to the kitchen to fix breakfast. So definitely fit it in upon waking - ala roll outta bed, do it, and continue on with my day.

i dont belong to a gym. as a single mom, its nearly impossible to leave the house. so i could get my gut in gear if i only had a wii!!!!!! i've always wanted to try it. this could be my lucky day. pick me !!! pick me!!!
you wonlt be sorry........

I would use the Wii Fit Plus first thing in the morning, but give the Wii system to my neighbors. They are a young (compared to me) couple with two little kids, both teachers. He took is Wii system to his school and one of the kids stole it.

Wow, seriously?! Awesome giveaway.

How would I fit it in? My husband's office pays for his gym membership but not mine so I have to fumble my way through my own workouts (usually the biggest loser dvd's). I'd likely workout while the kids slowly destroy the house around me.

Oh random.org, I know you love me!

I absolutely would have to do it early in the morning; I get up about 45 minutes ahead of everyone else when I want to work out, because if I don't, my day gets going and I end up being lazy. So I'd say early in the morning for sure!

Amy from Occupation: Mommy said...

I would fit it in during naptime. We are expecting our fourth baby in six weeks, so I won't be able to go to the gym the way I have been with my bigger kids. Working out at home would be perfect!

Well I don't have a wife, but it might be nice on the days when I don't feel like cleaning up around here. So I guess my answer would be, I 'd give up a little computer time each day to stay fit with a wii fit.

Wii fit, fits in any old time. Plus it will allow you to "fit" into your clothes better, airplane seat, etc. It just makes me excited, "WiiiiiIIiiiiiIiiiiIiiii." <-- please note Wii "voice-roller coaster" comment.

I would fit in Wii Fit in the morning, before the kids got up, maybe before the sun got up!

Thien-Kim aka Kim said...

Is it sad to say that I'd sneak in time after the kids are asleep? I know if I try to do it when they are around, I won't get to use it at all!

I am a SAHM and homeschool my youngest two. We would use it before we start our school day or after our snack time. Also on the weekend before we Pop our popcorn for our weekly movie marathon at home.

I would do Wii Fit with my 6 year old during that fun little window of time between when his kindergarten ends and when I pick up my daughter from preschool. He would LOVE it and we'd both get fit!

Sarah said...

ohhh how I've been wanting a Wii!! I would do Wii Fit after I get done homeschooling the kids.

I would love to use the Wii and Wii Fit Plus when my kids are napping or at preschool and after they go to bed. We can't afford a gym right now, so the Wii would be perfect.

I would totally use this when my daughter is napping OR when I get up extra early so doing it before she wakes up will help me get my day off to a great start. No more excuses like, "Can't work out since I can't go to the gym." =0)

I would fit some Wii Fit time in with my girls - we'd have a Friday Night Mother-Daughter Fit Party!

AmyinMotown said...

I'd be doing it with my kids--she does yoga at school and yoga with a 5-year-old=hilarious. And basically I'm a lazy ass at anything that won't get me a byline so role-modeling the active family life I'd like to have has to be fun for all of us.

Right now I have Biggest Loser for the Wii. It's okay. I've heard such great things about Wii Fit I'd love to win it. I would use it in the morning. I started getting up this week before everyone else at 6 am to workout and it's going well. I'd like to continue.

I'd keep it in my home office and use it while I am on conference calls. Another benefit of living in a virtual world ...

After taking the kids to school - but would that be before or after I'm supposed to be training for my first triathalon???? Wii Fit would be a good training jumpstart.

Michelle said...

I would fit it in like right now when Mister Man is at school and Little Miss is sound asleep for her nap. Ahhh the quiet of home when no one is around to laugh at me!

Renegade Business Coach said...

I would get some fit time in after the kids were dropped off at school and boy would this help me actually get some "fit" time in!

I used to take a pilates class, but can't now due to lack of time. I would use the Wii Fit for pilates - Mommy needs to do the plank again :)

Tiffany @ Lattes And Life said...

Right now I squeeze in my workouts during nap times, but the preschooler is on the verge of no-nap-land. So I'm going to have to find a new time!!

Unknown said...

I would use it to connect with my in-laws in a fun (only slightly competitive) way. They need to exercise, and I need to find a way to spend more time with them.

Lisa Nunez said...

I would use some of the educational mind and trivia games in my classroom, and the fit plus during lunch to encourage students to stay active.

Adrienne said...

Being obese makes it harder to exercise but I have been told that the Wii Fit is something I should try.

It would help me be more active and help me connect with the grand kids. Make excercising fun again.

I would fit some fit in between my son's therapy appointments and naptime. He tend to hog the TV A LOT!

I would love to win a Wii! I would make my silly boyfriend and my adorable dog Wally-Thor do some Wii Fit with me on the weekends right when we all get up. No excuses, no waiting until later. Right when we get up before we find a million other things to fill our day.

Thanks for all of the hard work that goes into your blog!

If I were to win I'd give the set to my 72 year old grandmother. I have a Wii and when she was here visiting I got her to try it and she loved it! She mentioned to my mom getting a system of her own but I don't think she realizes the expense involved. She's retired and I know this isn't in her budget.

I love our Wii and the variety of exercises I can do. It's helping me with my cardio for the breast cancer 3 day.

For my Gram, she has lingering shoulder pain and back pain after a fall. Stretching is good for her. Plus, she lives in Missouri and the winter weather isn't conducive to maintaining an exercise schedule.

Right now when I'm bored I just browse the web or when I get together with friends we just plop down on the couch watching TV. With Wii Fit I can definitely fit in some exercises during those times instead - a much better use of free time!

I would adore a Wii Fit since we don't have a Wii yet. I would fit it in between my Herbalife business, my freelance writing business, and taking care of my 4 kids, probably in the morning or evening.

Thanks so much for the opportunity!
