'The Hunger Games' – Let The Giveaway Begin
Maybe you've heard of this little movie coming out called The Hunger Games. Just a small film, based on a book that sold a gazzilion copies and now has people everywhere eagerly anticipating the movie's release on March 23. There will be a tiny crowd waiting outside, only in the trillions.
To be honest, I've never read the books the movie is based on, but my teenagers have and are going to be amongst that thronging crowd on opening night. We've already got our tickets for the 12:10 showing, and they've got their excuses lined up to tell their teachers the next day explaining why they had to miss first period that morning – they had a fever. Hunger Games fever.
To get you infected with the fever (it's not as painful as it sounds, and I promise there's no blisters involved) I'm giving away a Hunger Games prize package:
Or if you're not doing anything in the name of Hunger Games fandom, make something up and tell me what you would do if you were a crazed teenage fan with endless time on your hands and waiting to see one of the biggest movies of your generation.
Leave your Hunger Games fandom stories here before midnight on Saturday, March 24. (Sorry, only US entries, please.) Then I'll use random.org to pick a winner. One comment per person, and make sure you leave me a valid email address. (Nothing makes me madder than when I pick a winner and then I can't get in touch with you.)
And speaking of trailers, here's one to feast your eyes on. Only 6,9999 more times to go!

Well, some of my friends and I are all set to wait in line next Thursday and see the film at midnight. I'm super excited. I'm also in the process of planning a Hunger Games themed party that I can hopefully host in May (my b-day month)

I won't be standing in line for hours to see the movie, but I do plan on eventually getting a small mockingjay emblem tattoo. The Hunger Games is one of my favorite book series :)

I'm re-reading the books before the movie comes out. I think I'm actually more excited than my kids to see this! I don't know if I'll wait in line for hours though - I'm too old and crotchedy for THAT level of fandom. Still - I can't wait!
I'm not the fan, but as the mother of a rabid fan, I have endured watching the trailer a bazillion times, "liking" them on facebook and having my newsfeed cluttered up just trying to win the child an umbrella, and constant countdowns till opening night.
However I am not allowed to go with her to the midnight showing. Friends and "cool moms" (i.e. not her mom) only!! ;)

I'm so looking forward to this! In the name of fandom, my husband and I are planning to go see the movie next Friday night. Which may not sound like much. But when you factor in that the last movie I saw in the theater was in late November and that the last movie date my husband and I went on was who-knows-how-long before that, it's a lot.
What am I doing as a crazy HG fan? I'm entering every single contest I can find ;) I'm not planning on waiting days in line at the theater (hey living in a small town has one plus!), it might be a few hours though...just in case. Anyway, I'm willing to sit in the very front row or even on the sticky steps at the theater, I just want to see the movie!!!
Awesome giveaway and would love to win it. :) I've been watching trailers and looking forward to seeing the movie this weekend when it comes out. Email is: panda382OO7@yahoo.com Thank you for this!
